The Cart Titan is one of the Nine Titans of the universe of [Attack on Titan]. With a quadrupedal form and ability to move on two hands and 2 legs, it is characterised by its remarkable speed and endurance. It is the smallest Titan out of the main Nine Titans, with a height of only 4 meters. In the manga, it made its first appearance in Chapter 74. In the anime series, it could be seen for the first time in Episode 13 of Season 3. It is currently in the possession of Pieck, an Eldian young woman who serves as one of the Marley’s Warriors. Abilities The level of endurance of the Cart Titan is more noteworthy and significant than that of the other Titans. Its inheritors must be more perseverant than the average ones, since he or she has to take part on long missions without the need for rest. Also, the inheritor of the Cart Titan’s powers can stay in this Titan form for long periods of time and carry very heavy armaments, like battle armor or cargo packs. As it can be seen in Chapter 95, it is very useful in a large variety of tactics, such as the clearing of trenches, and long-term operations into enemy territory. On the downside, the Cart Titan isn’t quite skilled in battle and has lower defenses than the other more attack based Titans. It is significantly easier to be taken down, which occurs in Chapter 104. Also, its regeneration capacity is slower than that of the other Titans. Another notable characteristic of the Cart Titan is its quadrupedal form. Hence the name of “Cart Titan”. However, one of the disadvantages of inheriting the Cart Titan and staying a long time in its form is that the inheritor might forget how to walk normally once he or she goes back to their human form. That is why Pieck is often seen crawling like the Cart Titan or uses crutches in her human state and around the presence of people. Also due to its more compact small size, another ability of the Cart Titan is its great speed. This is similar to the Jaw Titan who is agile due to being a smaller size. This was the reason why the Cart Titan was used during the Battle of Shiganshina to rescue Zeke Jaeger and Reiner Braun, while also catching Levi Ackermann and Hange Zoe, two of the most talented soldiers of the Walls, off guard. Origins The Cart Titan, as well as all the Nine Titans, appeared after the death of Ymir. 1,700 years after her death, one or several of the quarreled Eldian houses that were subservient to the Founding Titan were the ones that possessed the Cart Titan. After seventeen centuries, Karl Fritz, King of the Fritz family, decided to abandon the confrontations of Eldia and moved to Paradis Island. As it can be seen in chapter 86, after relocating to Paradis Island, the nation of Marley took the Cart Titan during the Great Titan War. Around 843, after acquiring the power of the Cart Titan, the Government of Marley sent Pieck with a warrior unit to a war operation against an enemy country. There she used her power to transport a vessel containing Bertolt inside it, and leave it in an strategic place to carry out his transformation. Once the war was finished, and shortly before Operation Paradis Island in 845, it was announced that both Zeke Jaeger and Pieck would stay in Marley in case the enemies of the country invaded their territory. At some point, Pieck was sent to Paradis with the objective of providing support to the other warriors during the operation of the island. Upon meeting with Zeke, Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover, they concentrated on the ruins of Shiganshina to wait for the Survey Corps. One night before the battle, Pieck became a Titan to watch the surroundings. During the morning she spotted the enemies, and immediately returned to Shiganshina to inform his companions about their arrival. Climbing on the back of the Cart Titan, Zeke led Pieck through Shiganshina to rescue Reiner and Bertolt. There they found Bertolt incapacitated and captured by Eren Jaeger, so Zeke decides to abandon him to his fate. In another part of the district they find Reiner, and before he could be killed by Hange Zoë, Pieck rescues him, and together they go to the edge of Wall Maria. After the end of the battle, the three warriors return to Marley. Four years later, during the Battle of Liberio, Pieck once again equipped herself with the armor and, along with the Panzer Unit, headed to the war zone to eliminate invaders from the Survey Corps. After being shattered by multiple lightning spears, the body of the Cart Titan was mutilated. Pieck fell from the building, Jean tried to give her the coup de grace while Falco Grice stood between them, but a gust of steam emanating from the Titan diverted the course of the spear and caused it to impact elsewhere. Pieck emerged from the body of the Titan being unconscious and seriously injured, so Falco and Gabi took her immediately to another place. Facts

Pieck is a short young woman with long, disheveled shoulder-length black hair, a Greek nose and relaxed dark brown eyes. She wears a white blouse, a long trench coat, and skirt which goes down to her ankles as well as black lace-up boots. She also wears the Eldian armband on her left arm, as required of all Eldians under the authority of Marley. Since the end of the Marley Mid-East War, Pieck has been walking with a crutch, having lost some grasp on the ability to walk upright after spending two months in her Cart Titan form without interruption, which she claims is typical for her.[7] However, she can be seen walking on all fours when there are few people around, as she claims it "feels more natural."[8] During her infiltration on Paradis Island, Pieck stole a Survey Corps uniform and used it as a disguise to infiltrate the group known as the Yeagerists.

Pieck is shown to be somewhat sweet and kind, consistently shown to care about her fellow Warriors and the Warrior candidates. She is incredibly intelligent, able to quickly deduce a situation. When the Warriors were discussing the prospect of using the Tybur family to assist in their operations, Pieck was able to quickly figure things out, and Zeke Yeager implies this happens quite often.[11] However, Pieck is usually shown to be quite eccentric and easy going. During the train ride to Liberio, Pieck gladly gave Colt Grice a drink when he asked for one, which led to him getting drunk and leading the other Eldian soldiers in a chant in favor of Gabi Braun.[12] As a result of constantly being in her Titan form, Pieck has shown the habit of walking on all fours when few people are around, stating that it feels more natural and even curling up on a sofa like a cat; she is still capable of walking upright, although she occasionally requires a crutch to do so.[13]

Sometime before the beginning of Willy Tybur's speech at the Liberio festival, Pieck and the other Warriors are ordered to take their seats as ambassadors of Marley.[34] After they are seated, a Marleyan soldier informs the Warriors that Magath wants to see them. Along the way, the soldier dismisses Zeke, causing Pieck to become suspicious. She comments that the soldier feels familiar, but becomes distracted when she sees the Panzer Unit that operates the artillery her Cart Titan carries in battle. Pieck eagerly goes over and discreetly informs them about her suspicions regarding the soldier escorting them. The soldier leads Pieck and Galliard to an empty building, and she realizes that they have been led into a trap as the soldier cuts a nearby rope. It opens a trap door beneath her and Galliard.[35]

After Galliard charges towards Eren Yeager, Pieck tries calling him back but to no avail; she then groups up with Zeke to attack the Survey Corps but is surprised to see Zeke fall. She and her Panzer Unit become the focus of the Survey Corps, and one of her gunners is shot in the head. She charges towards the soldier who killed him, but Jean Kirstein intercepts her and launches a Thunder Spear at Pieck. It bounces off her Titan's helmet and into one of the eye slots where it detonates. The rest of Pieck's gunners are killed by a barrage of Thunder Spears which also severely damages her Titan. Pieck stumbles off the roof of the building and falls right in front of Falco Grice, Gabi Braun, and Magath. Beaten and injured, Pieck is momentarily saved by the sudden intervention of Falco who shields her from Jean.[43]

After being handcuffed to Gabi and taken to the roof, Pieck asks Eren if this means they are on the same side; Eren merely responds that Pieck should not try anything, due to potentially killing Gabi if she tries to transform. They meet Yelena at the roof; Pieck whimsically recalls her treachery in Liberio, mentioning that Yelena looked nice with the fake goatee. When pressured to reveal her comrades, Pieck grips Gabi's hand and smiles at her; she then turns and points at Eren. Just then, Galliard's Jaw Titan bursts through and takes Eren and the Yeagerists by surprise. As this happens, Pieck grabs Gabi and dives out of the way. As the Jaw Titan shields them from the blast of Eren transforming, Pieck tells Gabi that while she does want to free the Eldians, she trusts her comrades to help with the liberation efforts.[52]

Pieck transforms once again and the artillery cannon is reattached to her Titan form. As Magath fires another shot into the head of Eren's Titan, both him and Pieck come under attack from Floch Forster and the Yeagerists. They manage to fend off their attackers and resume firing upon Eren and Zeke; however, the artillery cannon is then destroyed by the efforts of both Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman. With no artillery to continue shooting at Eren and Zeke's Titan forms, Pieck is forced to engage her two assailants; targeting them both, Pieck proclaims it is over and charges towards Mikasa.[59] However, before she can, Eren makes contact with Zeke to start the Rumbling, and Pieck grips the Wall as it begins to disintegrate beneath her.[60] Like all Subjects of Ymir, Pieck is then able to suddenly hear Eren's voice and his declaration to protect the people of Paradis Island.[61]

As the flying boat reaches Eren it comes under fire from the Beast Titan. As the rest of the group jump from the boat, Pieck grabs the explosives and drags them out of the boat with her. Transforming midair, Pieck transports the explosives in her Titan's mouth while her comrades engage the Beast Titan.[69] They make quick work of the Beast, but Zeke is not found in its nape. Pieck and the group retreat to give Armin room to transform and uncover Zeke's location with the blast, but he is overtaken by an army of Titans which begins generating atop Eren's Titan. Levi devises a plan to save him, but Pieck reveals that the Titans they are facing are former inheritors of the Nine Titans. Realizing that Eren can generate an infinite number of Titans, Pieck tries to rush to his nape on her own and use the explosives to kill him. She manages to set the explosives around his nape, but before she can set them off, her Titan gets impaled by Lara Tybur's War Hammer Titan.[70]
